Philippine Airlines and Trip.com elevate air ticketing experience with NDC integration

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Philippine Airlines (PAL), the country’s flag carrier, has taken a significant step forward in digital distribution with the launch of its New Distribution Capability (NDC) integration on Trip.com. The move makes Trip.com the first global travel service provider to offer this advanced booking solution with PAL, powered through content aggregator Travelfusion.

With this partnership, PAL customers in Asia, Australia, and the United States now enjoy seamless access to the same range of fares and reservation services available through the airline’s own website – directly within the Trip.com platform.

The NDC-enabled integration introduces a wider spectrum of fare options, ranging from discounted tickets to student-exclusive fares. Beyond flights, customers can personalize their travel experience with add-ons such as advance seat selection and prepaid baggage. Importantly, post-booking services including itinerary modifications and refunds are also accessible through Trip.com, streamlining the customer journey.

PAL’s collaboration with Trip.com further enhances its ability to connect with niche markets such as international students traveling between Asia, North America, and Oceania. Leveraging Trip.com’s smart segmentation tools, PAL can now deliver targeted offers, student bundles, and value-added services tailored to diverse customer groups from first-time travelers to diaspora communities.

“The partnership between Philippine Airlines and Trip.Com will provide our customers a personalized, and seamless flight booking and buying experience through NDC integration with Travelfusion,” said Justin Warby, VP Sales and Distribution, Philippine Airlines. “Through partnerships, PAL will be able to expand its distribution capabilities, and offer a passenger-centric booking experience for agencies and travelers across the globe.”

“We are proud to be the first global travel service provider to enter an NDC integration partnership with Philippine Airlines in Asia Pacific. This partnership will enable our users to enjoy better fare options and booking experiences, leveraging our extensive network and experience to expand PAL’s reach to customers in the region and beyond. We look forward to deepening our partnership with PAL to deliver seamless travel experiences to meet the evolving needs of today’s travellers,” said Kirk Wong, Regional Airline Director, Oceania, Southeast Asia, ISC and Middle East, Trip.com Group

The partnership signals a forward-looking approach to air travel retailing, ensuring competitive fares, localized offers, and enhanced customer engagement. With NDC technology at its core, PAL and Trip.com are setting the stage for more exclusive deals and tailored travel solutions in the near future.
