Re- t your Tet goodies with Thien Phuoc Foster Home and TBWAVietnam

ASIA-PACIFIC – HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM, JANUARY 31, 2011 – This week-long Tet (Chinese New Year) holiday, the Thien Phuoc Foster Home for Disabled Children partnered with TBWA\Vietnam to introduce the ‘Tet Re- t Bag,’ the first ever Tet recyclable t bag.

“Everyone receives many food ts from relatives and friends, as well as attend many celebration dinners during the Tet Holidays, but unfortunately so much of the food goes to waste, including roast chicken, spring rolls, sweet snacks, rice cakes, etc. Sadly, most of this is just thrown away,” said Nguyen Thi Huong, coordinator at Thien Phuoc Foster Home for Disabled Children.

She continued, “TBWA\Vietnam helped us create special bags for people to take home with them during Tet, so they can save the foods they are unable to consume and place them inside. There’s a phone number included – and all they have to do is call us wherever they are in HCMC and we’ll pick it up free of charge to distribute the food to those in need. This way, everyone gets to celebrate Tet,” said Thi Huong.

TBWA\Vietnam’s associate creative director, Adi Karnajaya, added, “This year, we wanted to remind everyone in the community what Tet is really about – giving.”

The special bags were distributed free of charge to the general public throughout Ho Chi Minh City.
