mcm entertainment group brings movideo to Asia

ASIA-PACIFIC – DECEMBER 8,2010 – mcm entertainment group’s movideo division announced that it had signed agreements with the South China Morning Post Group of companies (SCMP Group) based in Hong Kong and AMP Radio Networks (AMP) in Malaysia, movideo’s first media partnerships outside Australia. 
 
movideo is the Online Video Platform developed in Australia by mcm. movideo powers MCM  Media’s online proprietary music video and audio streaming service Digital Entertainment Network (DEN), now the largest music audio visual streaming platform in Australia other than YouTube. movideo now supports DEN to deliver more than 7 million audio visual streams to around one million users every month via mcm’s sites and syndication to 35 partner sites including ninemsn, Yahoo!7 and News Digital.  
  
movideo will work with SCMP Group and AMP to deploy its new generation Online Video Platform to replace existing video solutions across both companies’ full network of online properties, including corporate, newspaper, magazine and radio portals and websites. 
 
Based in Hong Kong, the SCMP Group is a diversified media company with operations spanning newspaper, magazine and book publishing as well as interactive products and services and movideo will work across its full network of online properties. 
 
AMP is the leading radio network in Malaysia and is owned by Astro All Asia Networks plc, one of the largest broadcast media groups in Asia.

movideo is working with SCMP launching its first movideo integration on the Cosmopolitan magazine website this month and looks to launching across the AMP network in early 2011.
 
McGinn also said that movideo had established a wholly-owned Chinese movideo subsidiary company and opened an office in Beijing to develop its Asian client base. “Our Beijing office is an important stake in the ground for us as after almost six months of research and four market visits, we are now focused on the opportunities in China,” McGinn said. 
 

movideo’s core development team is based in Melbourne, with business development offices in Melbourne and Sydney, and now Beijing. Singapore will be added in early 2011. movideo has started working with additional strategic partners in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
