New D&AD Executive Committee members named after social media-fueled vote

ASIA-PACIFIC – SEPTEMBER 2011: D&AD, the organization committed to education and inspiration in and for the creative industries, has announced the seven new members of its Executive Committee chaired by Seymour Powell’s Dick Powell. 
 
The election, fueled by campaigns on social networks by the newly appointed members, had the highest number of votes in D&AD history. The new executive members are Dare ECD Flo Heiss for Advertising; Google Creative Lead Tom Uglow for Creative Practioners Working in Business; Airside Founder Nat Hunter and Someone Founder Simon Manchip for Design; and for Creative Industries, Great Guns Founder Laura Gregory, LBi ECD Laura Jordan Bambach, and Workclub Founder Andy Sandoz.
 
The retiring Executive Members are Sanky, founder of allofus and current D&AD president;  Simon Learman, CD at McCann London; and Jim Sutherland, founder of Hat Trick.
 
The D&AD Executive Committee is made up of D&AD Awarded Members who are leaders in their fields elected by the membership. The Executive Committee oversees the function and strategy of the charity, and is integral to its management and governance.
