THE PHILIPPINES, OCTOBER 17, 2011: The Advertising Board of the Philippines (AdBoard) launches Ad Academy on October 19, 2011 at the AdBoard office with a pilot seminar on new media strategies.

Organized in cooperation with AdBoard member-organization the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) and the Certified Digital Marketer Program of IMMAP and the Ateneo de Manila University, Ad Academy offers AdBoard members continuing education on digital marketing.

Embracing the digital phenomenon by learning about new media, engaging in discussions and sharing knowledge leads to the professional development of a healthy and integrated marketing communications industry.

The opening seminar of AdBoard Ad Academy features pioneers in the field of digital marketing. Media Contacts Philippines’ Eduardo Mapa, Jr., one of the founders of IMMAP and a recognized digital leader in the country, kicks off the seminar with a lecture on “New Media Strategy”.

Carlo Ople of TV5 shares “How TV5 is Using New Media”. He is a social media marketing specialist who established his own digital marketing agency.

Donald Lim, managing director of MRM Woldwide, the digital and relationship marketing division of McCann Worldgroup, tackles “Earned New Media”.
