Victory Liner outfits all provincial buses with wi-fi

THE PHILIPPINES, OCTOBER 7, 2011: Victory Liner celebrates its 66th anniversary by treating passengers of its provincial buses to free wi-fi connection.

“It’s no secret that a lot of people today do their work and get their entertainment online. So when we were brainstorming on what additional services we could provide our passengers, it was an easy decision to add free Internet access to our provincial lines,” said Marivic del Pilar, head of Victory Liner’s treasury and marketing department.

Passengers can maintain their online presence and productivity even as they head to their provincial destinations for a vacation or a business trip. Sun Broadband provides the signal for Victory Liner’s 200 provincial buses, plying regular routes to Baguio, Tuguegarao, Pangasinan, Subic, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bataan, and Zambales.

Victory Liner first traveled across the metro in 1945, just when the country is recovering from the damages of World War II. It now has five stations in the Metro Manila area and 12 in the provinces.
