Sound can affect your brand more than you think, says Tony Hertz

MANILA – October 1, 2013 – Most people don’t realize it, but sound can affect your brand more than you think. According to creative radio specialist Tony Hertz, there are many ways that sound can help build a brand.

"I want people to think about, if you’re a brand manager, think about the number of touchpoints, the number of ways your brand can touch people through sound," Hertz said.

"For example, the way your telephone is answered. For example, the sound of your product. Do you know how incredibly important the sound of a car door is?" Hertz quipped.

Hertz explained that people don’t realize how important sound is, because a big part of it happens below the conscious level.

"What i want to do is to raise it into the conscious level so people are more aware of it," Hertz said.

Hertz will be discussing brand sound in "Make More Waves – the neglected element of Brand communication," the first part of his lecture at the adobo Maincourse.

"You can expect to be a bit surprised, you can expect to learn some things that perhaps you didn’t know," Hertz said. "My objective for the workshop is to get people to open their ears and be more conscious of how sound can actually help brands."

The adobo Maincourse with Tony Hertz will take place on October 15, 2013 at the Mind Museum auditorium in Bonifacio Global City from 9:30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

Registration is at P1,000 for students and P2,000 for regular. For queries, contact ched.dayot@adobomagazine.com or visit http://www.adobomagazine.com/maincourse/.
