MORES Congress 10 to track down insight in Boracay

The Marketing & Opinion Research Society of the Philippines (MORES) will hold its 10th Research Congress at the Boracay Regency Beach Resort & Convention Center on July 7 to 9, 2010. Themed "In Search of the Elusive Insight", this year’s Congress will offer a more interactive experience, combining case studies with social networking activities for delegates. Workshops will cover a variety of industries and draw on the knowledge of local and regional experts.
 
Session topics include non-traditional media versus TV, understanding consumer purchase behavior, and understanding teens through film ethnography. Plenary Speakers are Arlene Dayrit, VP Customer Intelligence Unit, Bank of the Philippine Islands; Goutam Mitra, Managing Director, Milward Brown Philippines; Thomas Hall, Marketing Solutions Leader of Nielsen Asia Pacific, India, Middle East and Southern Africa; Vicky L. Ortega, Chairman of Brandlab; Agnes Tayao, Knowledge & Insights Director, Coca-Cola Export; and Lee Ryan, Regional Director for Qualitative Practice, TNS. Bienvenido “Nonoy” Niles Jr, Chairman of Boomerang Corporate Solutions is keynote speaker.
 
Attendance for the congress, the first to be held outside Luzon, is expected to rise to 200 this year from 150 in 2008. The last MORES congress, "Looking Towards the Future: MORES@30" was at Hotel Stotsenberg in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga two years ago. MORES, formally established in 1977, has member organizations in advertising, research, broadcasting,  manufacturing, and other industries.
