STA. ROSA, PHILIPPINES — Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines (CCEAP), the bottling partner and distributor of Coca-Cola products in the country, has launched its first fully electric truck, marking a milestone in the company’s commitment to sustainable logistics and clean energy.
Stationed at the Sta. Rosa Plant in Laguna, the new zero-emission tractor-trailer – developed by BYD Cars Philippines will service delivery routes within the area while significantly reducing the company’s carbon footprint. Equipped with a 355 kWh battery and a range of up to 200 kilometers, the truck is supported by an on-site charging station and is expected to cut approximately 54,000 kilograms of CO₂ emissions annually compared to a diesel counterpart.

“At CCEAP, we remain committed to delivering our refreshing beverages to more people, in a more sustainable and energy-efficient way,” said Gareth McGeown, CEO of Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines. “We always grow our business the right way as we contribute to a cleaner future for the communities we serve. All our 18 manufacturing plants employ clean energy initiatives and world-class technologies to ensure that every product that reaches our customers are made with the highest sustainability and quality standards.”
CCEAP manages one of the largest truck fleets in the country with more than 3,500 trucks and 2,000 service vehicles, distributing to over one million micro-retailers and 6,000 key customers nationwide. The integration of electric mobility into its logistics reflects the company’s broader sustainability agenda.

“We recognize the critical role that our logistics operations play in supporting all our customers and achieving an even more sustainable supply chain for our business,” said Frank Garcia, Supply Chain Vice President of CCEAP. “As we launch our first electric truck, we continue to drive our long-term strategy of incorporating clean energy into our operations through smart mobility initiatives.”
The initiative aligns with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners’ (CCEP) global climate goals, which include reducing absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030 (compared to 2019 levels) and achieving net zero by 2040. These targets are validated by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
Locally, CCEAP has accelerated its renewable energy investments with the installation of over 23,000 solar panels across its facilities nationwide, including the Sta. Rosa Plant. The facility has been recognized with multiple GREEN Awards by the City of Sta. Rosa for its achievements in sustainability and water stewardship.
At the truck’s launch, Vice Mayor Arnold Arcillas of Sta. Rosa joined CCEAP executives in affirming the shared mission of advancing clean energy, responsible supply chain practices, and community-driven environmental stewardship.
With decades of presence in the Philippines, CCEAP continues to expand its initiatives in clean energy, sustainable packaging, recycling, and water efficiency—ensuring that every stage of its operations contributes to a better shared future for the people and communities it serves.
