MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Boomerang Awards 2025, the premier digital awards show of the Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines (DMAP) proved once again why it stands as one of the country’s most anticipated celebrations of digital creativity and innovation.
Held on October 17, 2025, at the Manila Sheraton Hotel in Pasay City, this year’s ceremony brought together the best and brightest in the advertising and marketing industry to honor the campaigns that pushed creative boundaries and delivered real impact, anchoring on the theme “WEiMAGINE.”
The night began with lively cocktails, setting a festive tone as guests joyfully mingled over drinks while the opening DJ set filled the venue with vibrant energy. This was followed by a stunning performance by Jenzen Guino that further ignited anticipation for the memorable evening ahead.
Host Jazper Tiongson took the stage with a warm welcome, leading into opening remarks from the DMAP President Miko David, who warmly welcomed all the participants and acknowledged their hard work to reach this year’s Boomerangs.
“This is a great combination of hard work. I’m so happy with the result and this event, which celebrates your hard work,” Miko said.
After the jury introduction video and a shortlist montage that showcased the nominees’ outstanding work, the highly anticipated awards presentation began.

GIGIL emerged as the night’s top winner, securing eleven awards: 2 Golds, 3 Silvers, 2 Bronzes, 1 Grand Prix, and the coveted Black Boomerang for Short-Form Videos for its Steal campaign video for Mandaue Foam Home Store. The agency also won the Tech Innovator of the Year title and was named Agency of the Year, reinforcing its reputation for bold storytelling and fearless creativity — an amazing prelude to the agency’s upcoming 8th year anniversary.
For GIGIL Associate Creative Director Alvin Adriano, winning Boomerang’s Agency of the Year Award for the second time is the product of their evolving model, powered by three creative forces such as GIGIL, KATOK and METAMA.
“With all three working together, we’re proving that reinvention isn’t just a strategy — it’s in our DNA. It’s how we keep finding new ways to make great stuff for our clients,” Alvin told adobo Magazine in an exclusive statement.
When asked about its Grand Prix win for CloseUp “Perspective Billboards,” Alvin reflected, “Creativity isn’t always about chasing the next big thing — it’s about finding something fresh in what’s already there, and turning the familiar into something awesome.”
He added, “These days, everyone’s obsessed with new tech and shiny innovations. But we realized that sometimes we just need to take a step back to see what’s been in front of us all along.”
Meanwhile, MullenLowe TREYNA followed closely, earning nine accolades: 3 Golds, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze, and a Grand Prix. The agency also won the Green Boomerang for Sustainability and White Boomerang for Pivotal Transformation for its “Scoliosis #StripesFitCheck” campaign for Scoliosis Philippines — showcasing advocacy and innovation. Capping the night, they received the highly-esteemed Boomerang’s Best of Show award.

“It was a great night full of screaming cheers! Our hearts are full!” shared MullenLowe TREYNA Executive Creative Director Roman Olivarez in an exclusive statement to adobo Magazine.
“From our shortlists to the Grand Prix and Best of Show nods, we’re just grateful that the DMAP Boomerang Awards jury recognized the hard work of the whole team,” he joyfully added.
The evening also celebrated emerging talent through the Digital Young Creators Competition, which continues to serve as a launchpad for the next generation of marketing leaders. Among the standout winners were teams from Propel Manila, NuWorks, Dentsu Creative Philippines, TBWA\SMP and Lennon Group, who impressed judges with their creativity and strategic thinking.

Young Lotus Gold Awardees Arvin Chingcuanco and Sophia Jayme, both from Propel Manila, will represent the Philippines in the ADFEST 2026 to be held at Pattaya, Thailand from March 19–21, 2026.
Meanwhile, Young Innova Gold Awardees Franc Mangahas and Eri Carunungan, both from Lennon Group, will represent the country in the SXSW 2026 which will be held in Austin, Texas from March 12–18, 2026.
Franc enthusiastically recounted the success of the inaugural DMAP DYC Young Innova competition, praising its decision to include “not-so-young” creatives and highlighting the challenging yet rewarding experience provided by an exciting brief and insightful jury feedback.
The win, securing the Gold award and granting delegateship to the prestigious SXSW 2026 conference, makes the entire journey especially meaningful, and Franc eagerly anticipates immersing in the creative opportunities at SXSW.
“The brief was exciting and the jury was generous with their insights, making the entire experience both challenging and rewarding. Winning Gold and becoming delegates to SXSW 2026 makes it all the more special. I’m looking forward to immersing myself in every creative experience SXSW has to offer. And Trader Joe’s,” he shared with adobo Magazine in an exclusive statement.

Eri, on the other hand, lauded the same sentiments while celebrating her unexpected gold win in the recent competition. She expressed genuine amusement that she got to compete again at her age and noted that despite facing a challenging brief and going up against highly talented teams, the entire experience was fun and rewarding.
“It was a fun experience overall and I am so grateful for the opportunity. It’s an incredible honor to represent [the] Lennon Group and bring home the gold. I am so excited to start preparing our game plan to make the most of SXSW!” she said to adobo Magazine.
Adding to the night’s creative rhythm were spectacular live performances from indie-pop band Autotelic, Hey June!, and soloists like Justin Vasquez and Janine Berdin.
