LONDON, UK – After judging 1,288 shortlisted works, the 2025 D&AD Awards jury have narrowed it down to 668 works which received the coveted Pencils. Out of Philippines’s six shortlisted works, the nation bagged five Pencils — two Graphite and three Wood. The wins went to Gigil, MullenLowe Treyna, and BBDO Guerrero for their standout campaigns.
MullenLowe TREYNA
Right to Care
MullenLowe TREYNA’s award-winning “Right to Care” campaign for the Quezon City Gender and Development Council Office have been awarded the Wood Pencil on the Sustained Impact category under the Local Solutions subcategory.
“Right to Care” has gained both local and international acclaim. Globally, it has been recognized by Spikes Asia, ADFEST, Clio, Good Design, and the New York Advertising Festival. On the local front, it won 17 Kidlat Awards, including three Grand Prix.
BBDO Guerrero
Play the Dew: Battle
BBDO Guerrero’s “Play the Dew: Battle” for PepsiCo Philippines (Mountain Dew) won a Graphite Pencil at the 2025 D&AD Awards in the Radio & Audio category under the Commercials 30 Seconds & Under subcategory. The action-packed radio ad mimics a first-person shooter game, with every sound effect — gunfire, explosions, footsteps — replaced by voice recordings of the word “DEW.” Meanwhile, “Play the Dew: Fighter” has been shortlisted.
GIGIL
Himala
GIGIL’s Himala for ARC Refreshments Corporation, have scored a Wood Pencil in the Film category under the Social Commercials Over 15 Seconds. The Clio Award-winning work also received a Bronze Spike Bronze Spike in the Film category at Spikes Asia 2025, and Philippines only Gold Clio at the 2025 Clio Awards.
Steal
On the other hand, Steal, made by Gigil for Mandaue Foam Store, has received both Wood and Graphite Pencils from the D&AD Awards. The Wood Pencil is from the Film category under the TV/VOD Commercials 16 – 180 Seconds, while the Graphite win is from the Film category’s Creative Use of Budget subcategory. At ADFEST 2025, Steal won a Silver Lotus in the Film category and also took home a Bronze at the 2025 Clio Awards.
