Thasorn “Pete” Boonyanate, Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy Thailand, has been named 2027 Asia Regional Jury Chair for The ANDY Awards, becoming the first Thai and Southeast Asian creative leader appointed to the role.
As Regional Jury Chair, Boonyanate will lead the Asia jury in evaluating work through the lenses of Idea, Craft, Reset and Bravery. The regional judging model is designed to ensure that entries are considered by creative leaders who understand the cultural contexts in which the work was created.
A storyteller, songwriter and filmmaker, Boonyanate believes entertainment represents the future of advertising. He has received more than 250 international awards, including Gold, Silver and Bronze Cannes Lions, D&AD Graphite and Wood Pencils, ANDY Gold and Grand LIA.
“Asia is home to an extraordinary range of cultures, perspectives and creative traditions. I want to see ideas that are not only beautifully crafted, but also deeply rooted in a genuine understanding of people and place,” said Thasorn “Pete” Boonyanate, Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy Thailand. “The strongest work can come from anywhere. This regional stage gives us an important opportunity to recognise ideas in their cultural context and help more Asian creativity earn the global attention it deserves.”
Boonyanate’s appointment is a significant milestone for Thailand and Southeast Asia, bringing the region’s creative perspective to a prominent international jury leadership role.

The International ANDY Awards also named Chris Beresford-Hill, Worldwide Chief Creative Officer of BBDO, as its 2027 Global Jury Chair. Regional chairs have been appointed across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Pacific, and Southwest Asia and North Africa.
At the regional level, participation is free. Shortlisted work is spotlighted within its home region, and entrants can choose to advance to the global competition the following year. The judging process also gives entrants access to real-time feedback from the jury.
