GMA7 most awarded at multi-ethnicity awards

THE PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 21, 2012 – Bringing home six EMMAs, GMA Network emerged as one of the most awarded companies in the 26th National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications conference held September 11 to 12 in New York.
 
NAMIC is an international organization that recognizes multicultural marketing practices in the cable industry. It was established in 1980, and has over 2,700 professionals from a network of 16 chapters worldwide.
 
GMA’s online marketing campaign ‘Support Manny Pacquiao’ won first place in the Digital category, for successfully engaging Filipinos living in the US, Asia-Pacific and Middle East to show support to Pacquiao through its citizen journalism tool, YouScoop. GMA’s international magazine ‘Kapuso Abroad’ won first place in the Grassroots category. 
 
Eat Bulaga’s San Franciso show last March 30 came in second place in the Experiential Marketing category. The event added to a significant increase in GMA PinoyTV subscription, recording over 6,000 attendees from Filipino-American communities in San Francisco and Northern California.
 
GMA won third place for its participation in the TOFA (The Outstanding Filipino Americans) Awards under the Diversity Awareness category, its eco-friendly green bags under the Premium category and its one-minute free advertising ‘Pinoy Inbox’ under the Television category.
 
GMA International VP Joseph Francia said, “These awards are a testament of our efforts to continuously innovate and become more relevant in today’s highly-competitive and fast-evolving pay-TV landscape. We offer our victory to our subscribers, who have consistently supported us over the last seven years.”
