LOCAL, MAY 12, 2013 – Google has announced that its popular Google Translate translation tool is now available in Cebuano, as well as four other languages (Bosnian, Hmong, Javanese and Marathi). Those not familiar with the dialect can now rely on the service to ease communication with those who speak it, as well as translate information into the language of their choice, whether online or offline.
Except for Bosnian, Google says, these newly supported languages are currently in the “alpha” stage, or the early stages of development, and Google Translate’s performance can thus be expected to improve over time as these services evolve.
These new additions boost the number of languages Google Translate supports to over 70.
