Omnicom Media Group’s Torie Henderson rises to president, global account management for Asia Pacific

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, MARCH 2, 2012: Torie Henderson has been promoted to President, Global Account Management for Asia Pacific of Omnicom Media Group. Henderson will oversee client service, strategy, resources, capabilities and best-practices initiatives across multi-national accounts for both OMD and PHD, including Visa, HP, Intel, McDonald’s, Standard Chartered Bank and Sony to name a few, working closely with Omnicom Media Group APAC CEO, Barry Cupples, and APAC brand leaders, Steve Blakeman and Cheuk Chiang, CEOs of OMD and PHD respectively.

In a related development, Sony Wong, CEO of PHD Singapore moves up to an expanded role of CEO, Omnicom Media Group, Singapore, Torie’s former position, while OMD Singapore Business Directors, Anita Yeong and Chloe Neo have been promoted to Joint Managing Partners of OMD Singapore’s local business. In addition to managing the PHD business, Sony Wong will work closely with Anita, Chloe and Jaydeep Chaudhuri, Managing Partner, OMD International, to spearhead OMD’s operations in Singapore.
 
“Sony has demonstrated outstanding leadership and new business capabilities that makes him the perfect candidate to lead our operations in Singapore. Anita and Chloe are senior leaders, who have contributed significantly to OMD Singapore’s growth in reputation and talent management. The transitions have been seamless as Omnicom Media Group recognizes the importance of succession planning and ensures there is an effective succession plan in the talent agenda,” commented Henderson on the realignment in the Singapore operations and her new role.
 
The promotions are effective immediately. Torie Henderson and Sony Wong will report to Cupples while Anita Yeong and Chloe Neo will report to Sony Wong, CEO, Omnicom Media Group, Singapore.
