Pinterest gets into analytics

GLOBAL, MARCH 20, 2013 – Pinterest has introduced the Pinterest Web Analytics tool designed to give website owners insights to what people are pinning. 
The tool also measures impressions and reach that gives a view of how many people are pinning images from verified sites, viewing the pins and clicking the links. This adds to Pinterest’s offerings for website owners including business accounts, Pin It buttons and board widgets.

The content-sharing site does not currently employ paid advertising, but founder Ben Silbermann has been quoted to focus 2013 on building foundations to monetize.
