Mad Hat Asia enters 2023 with tremendous business growth

SINGAPORE — Creative communications agency Mad Hat Asia’s Singapore division started the year with much to celebrate amidst an award, new hires, and business growth.

Danielle Chow, Communications Director shared, “In the last year, Mad Hat Singapore has seen so much growth amidst so much uncertainty. It’s very encouraging to see the strides we have made as a team and it proves to show that our people, our passion, and our capabilities continue to drive Mad Hat Asia’s success. We are confident that 2023 will further solidify Singapore as a key market in Mad Hat Asia’s network.”

In the last 12 months, Mad Hat Asia has grown its revenues by almost 600% with brands on its roster including Tyson Foods, one of the world’s largest food companies and a recognized leader in protein; Bilibili, Southeast Asia’s largest online anime, comics and games content platform, and Vibe Hotel, a contemporary Australian hospitality brand opening its first hotel in Singapore; in addition to renewals with Virgin Active, Rawbought, and Tiong Bahru Bakery of the Spa Esprit Group. “We largely have our client partners to thank for entrusting us with their brand and believing in our ‘mad’ approach to driving their business outcome,” Danielle added.

In less than two years in operation, Mad Hat Singapore won its first award at Marketing Interactive’s Agency of the Year award, New Kid On The Block category, cementing its presence in the market.

Rengeeta Rendava, Group Managing Director of Mad Hat Asia, said, “As we scale, it’s important to ensure we have the right team in place and I can’t be more proud of the leadership we have in Singapore and the strides they have made in such a short period. With a growing business across Southeast Asia, we are focused on ensuring we operate as a unified team, in a borderless agency structure, with an acute focus on the quality of strategies, execution, and partnerships with our network of clients.”

What started as a two-person team helmed by Danielle Chow as Communications Director, and Krisha Ramos as Communications Manager, Mad Hat Singapore has since welcomed Mervyn Lee, who joined PRecious Communications as Communications Manager. Nadhirah Salemi, Zoe Chan, and Ili Yasmin come on board as Communications Executives, bringing with them experiences working on brands like Fujitsu, Club Med, Rolls Royce, *SCAPE, and Nestle.

Mad Hat Asia is poised to strengthen its talent training and upskilling efforts, leverage its regional network expertise, and double its team and its revenues in 2023 while raising the bar on the quality of service in creative communications with a broader network of consumer-facing client partners.
