MANILA, PHILIPPINES – An all-digital bank demands a big digital splash. CIMB Bank, The Asian Banker’s 2019 Best Digital Bank in the Philippines—and the 5th biggest bank in the whole of ASEAN—gave this challenge to ideas agency GIGIL.
To launch its “Seize Life’s Moments” campaign, CIMB dropped a rom-com short film in February entitled “One Shot At Love.” Inspired by a true love story, it narrates the unexpected love story between a hardworking Filipina, and an American visiting the country. A week from its launch it already chalked up 8.1 million views and over 50,000 Facebook shares.
“The film calls everyone to seize life’s moments, because they may never happen again. And with CIMB’s interest rates which grow money like no other, Filipinos would have the means to do precisely that,” GIGIL Partner Badong Abesamis says.
