Rebeschini replaces Chanen as Y&R Asia Chief Creative Officer

Joining Y&R Singapore HQ in September is Marcus Rebeschini, the new Chief Creative Officer of Y&R Asia.  Though fresh from TBWAChiat Day New York, Rebeschini knows the region well, having worked at TBWA Singapore, and at Grey and Pure Creative in Melbourne.  Rebeschini replaces fellow Australian Rowan Chanen.

At TBWAChiatDay New York, Rebeschini was on top of global and regional briefs. His team propelled TBWA Singapore to #1 creative agency in that market, earning numerous Agency of the Year citations.  He has won a Gold Lion, was Equal #1 (with ex-partner Rob Kleman) in the 2006 Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings, and has won hundreds of global and regional awards.

Hailing the appointment, Y&R Asia president Ambar Brahmachary said,  “We have been making great progress in Asia.  Having Marcus as my new creative partner in the region is an important statement about our direction.  We simply need to dial up the level of creativity our clients depend on us to do in an increasingly complex and time-competitive marketplace for ideas."

Tony Granger, Global Chief Creative Officer of Y&R, believes Rebeschini "will be an inspiring leader who will encourage creative collaboration.”  Granger himself was appointed just nine months earlier.

Of his appointment, Rebeschini says "I’m thrilled to return to Asia, and equally thrilled to be given this opportunity to be part of Tony Granger’s leadership team as he steps up the network’s creative focus.  After meeting Ambar and seeing the foundation he’s already built for the Asia region, I already foresee that he is going to be a great partner.”
