Orocan and Gigil flip reality on its head, literally

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Everyone knows plastic product manufacturer Orocan for its durable plastic products and unwavering honesty in its ads, made in collaboration with creative agency GIGIL Philippines. From Orocan Koolit Cantina, Orocan Icebox, and Orocan Pail, the brand is back with a new product that will surely make its way into every Filipino’s life: Orocan Nomi.

Orocan Nomi is a water bottle made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) – the same material used by the leading premium plastic water bottle brand, but priced much less. Orocan Nomi is durable, and that’s exactly what the brand wants you to know in their latest campaign.

In the latest film, Orocan shows us that the Nomi is “Matibay Kahit Baliktarin Mo Pa” (Sturdy Even If You Jumble It Up). This line also calls back to the product’s name, “Nomi,” which jumbles the syllables of “Inom,” Filipino for “drink.”


The brand also took the phrase “…kahit baliktarin mo pa” (even if you jumble it up) to the next level in the film. From literally flipping the bottle over and over across rough terrain to flipping reality itself, Orocan is definitely turning heads and creating conversation online with its viral ad.

Orocan Nomi is now available for only PHP230 for 800ml. You can buy it in stores nationwide, including Orocan’s official Lazada, and Shopee pages.
