It’s unanimous: Old Spice Guy is old

But even Wieden-Kennedy has moved on with their new Old Spice campaign featuring American football player, Ray Lewis. There are hints of being so past Old Spice Guy, as one Lewis commercial has him stepping out of the shower covered in a thick layer of bubble foam. The latest in the series is a co-branded NFL spot that relies on CG effects instead of real-time tricks.

Old Spice Guy actor Isaiah Mustafa, however, has yet to let go. Mustafa has appeared in a teaser promo for the Windows Phone 7 launch in Australia as "the most talked about man on the internet" and "100 kilograms of lean man" for the phone right before he rips his shirt off.

Gizmodo has called the rehash a betrayal to Old Spice. Many commenters agree. How much longer can Isaiah Mustafa keep up the act?

In the meantime, Axe Deodorant bumps Old Spice with a billboard in Canada. Ouch.
