DCL – The Game is a drone racing simulation game available on STEAM, PS4 and XBoxOne. From 5pm UTC Friday 27th until 8pm UTC Sunday 29th March, players were able to download and play the game for free on STEAM only, giving players an opportunity to experience the game, and potentially qualify to join a real-life drone racing team. STEAM is a platform for playing online video games.

Multilingual digital agency, AccuraCast, promoted awareness of the offer on Facebook and Instragram across the free weekend. Managing director, Farhad Divecha, had this to say about the success of the campaign:

“The spike in player numbers we saw over the weekend shows that there is clearly a strong appetite at this time for online gaming and home entertainment products. Where many industries are struggling under the economic strain caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, this is the perfect time for gaming companies to reach consumers. We like DCL – The Game in particular as it is allowing drone enthusiasts to continue their hobby from indoors!”
