Haymarket rebrands Media magazine as Campaign Asia-Pacific

ASIA-PACIFIC – Global publishing group Haymarket Media announced July 29 the rebranding of its regional marketing communications title as Campaign Asia-Pacific beginning September 2010.

The worldwide Campaign brand is one of the industry’s most respected marketing, advertising and media networks. The UK flagship title is widely regarded as the trade bible for advertising and marketing communications.

From a twice monthly newsletter, Media will become the monthly Campaign magazine to be launched at Spikes Asia in Singapore on September 20. Aside from the magazine, Campaign Asia-Pacific’s recently revamped content-heavy online presence will continue to offer both free and subscription-based access to news and analysis.

"The move to a paid-for content model in print and a combination of free and paid-for premium content online will allow us to invest in and develop the quality of our journalism and the information we provide, as well as maximising our reach across the region and outside for those who want to know what’s going on in the fastest-growing and most exciting marketing communications market in the world," said Haymarket Asia Managing Director Tim Waldron on the Campaign Asia website.

Renaming Media, formerly a Hong Kong-based publication before its buyout by Haymarket, is a brave move for the publishing giant and poses a challenge to Campaign Brief Asia magazine, which also pulls content from Campaign UK.

Haymarket Media, the UK’s largest privately-owned publishing company, publishes more than 100 niche and general print titles and websites.
