Broadcast giants receive nods from Philippine PR group

THE PHILIPPINES, FEBRUARY 27, 2O12: Considered the Academy Award of Philippine public relations, the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) recognized outstanding corporate PR programs and PR tools through the 47th Anvil Awards on February 24 at the Edsa Shangri-La hotel.

 
TV rivals GMA 7 and ABS-CBN nabbed Anvils three and four Anvils, respectively. GMA Network won the Anvil Award of Merit for Public Relations Tool for Multimedia and Infomercials category for the “EDSA 25th Anniversary” campaign and the Anvil Award of Merit for Specialized Public Relations Projects for One-time Basis Corporate Program for both “Saludo sa Puso ng Pinoy” and “Hero Ko si Rizal” projects.
 
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Corporation, through its radio outfits DZMM (AM) and Tambayan 101.9 (FM), won three of its four trophies: the  Anvil Award of Merit for Public Relations Programs Directed and Specific Stakeholders-Customers for DZMM TeleRadyo; the  Anvil Award of Merit for Public Relations Programs on Sustained Basis Social Responsibility for DZMM TLC: Teaching, Learning, Caring; and the  Anvil Award of Merit for Public Relations Tool for Special Events for the Tambayan OPM Awards. Its fourth Anvil came for the "Imortal Online" project by ABS-CBN Digital Brand Management.
 
Newcomer TV5 won an Anvil through their online news portal InterAksyon.com. It received the  Anvil Award of Merit for the Internet Website category.
