The VidCon Asia Summit, an event of the Singapore Media Festival and hosted by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), will see the return of VidCon’s signature Industry Track to the Asian market. Programming will focus on the ways in which the creator economy and digital ecosystem have evolved over the past two years via a variety of keynotes from global industry and platform leaders coupled with hands-on workshops focused on growing an audience and revenue in the fast-paced Asian online video marketplace. VidCon Asia will include panel discussions about working with social video platforms, audience development, monetization, technology, and branding and marketing. VidCon Asia will be produced by Branded, producers of VidCon Asia since the launch event in 2019.

Catherine Park, SVP, Head of Office & Streaming for Asia, ViacomCBS Networks International, said, “We are thrilled to bring VidCon back to Singapore once again, with the invaluable support of the IMDA. Asia has a huge talent pool of creators with an equally large and diverse audience that is always looking for new, relevant, and exciting content. We look forward to helping grow this landscape and to bring more stories from Asia to the world.”

“The creator economy has exploded globally over the last two years, with new startups, platforms, and ways for creators to connect with their fans. We’re excited to bring VidCon’s unique mix of creators, insight, strategy, startups, and education to Singapore as we explore how creators, crypto, brands, and fans are building new media marketing and entertainment businesses – and providing new opportunity for existing ones across Southeast Asia and beyond,” says Jim Louderback, General Manager of VidCon.

In 2022, the VidCon Asia Summit will expand to bring VidCon’s signature three-track programme – Community, Creator, and Industry – to Singapore, with each providing attendees with unique sessions and experiences tailored to their specific interests. The Community Track is designed for fans of online video, its creators, and its culture, and is a hugely popular festival featuring parties, panels, meet-and-greets, concerts and more. The Creator Track – designed for emerging talent in online video – has hands-on workshops and panels that teach the next generation of creators how to break into the industry and build an online brand; it is also a forum for creators to meet and collaborate.

VidCon connects the world’s most popular digital creators with their biggest fans, and features a stellar line-up of executives from top digital platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Twitch, Snapchat, TikTok, Weibo, Tencent, and more.
