Internationally-recognised futurist Lucie Greene is launching a new consulting firm, Light Years.

The company’s first global forecast report, ‘Light Years 2020’, launches this week and is the first in a series of trend-forecasting updates and analysis covering emerging cultural  trends, innovation and consumer behaviour.

Light Years 2020 is designed to be a macro forecast for Light Years’ clients looking at the year ahead. Trends span Generation Z, Xennials and sustainability along with business sectors including beauty, travel, wellbeing and retail among others. It has been compiled in collaboration with a global network of experts, influencers and practitioners.

Light Years is headquartered in Los Angeles and follows Greene’s five-year term as global director of JWT Intelligence, the futures think tank at Wunderman Thompson. Greene is credited with building, and branding an international intelligence platform, adding global hubs, launching annual forecast ‘The Future 100’ (now translated into several languages), and steering thought leadership partnerships with Snapchat, Getty Images, Adobe, and WWD among others. She built out a suite of consulting services with clientele including Unilever, Shiseido, and Amazon among consulting clients.

Light Years focuses on trend-forecasting and brand strategy, with a multidisciplinary approach. Core services include strategic research and thought leadership, innovation stimulus programs, brand strategy and creative incubation. The new venture has global capabilities and a worldwide network of experts in many fields.
