BREAKING NEWS: Cannes Lions 2018 awards ‘Hope’ by Blur Producciones/Sra. Rushmore Grand Prix for Film Craft Lions

CANNES – A heartbreaking film on the dangers of war has won the Grand Prix for Film Craft Lions at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. ‘Hope,’ a short film created by Blur Producciones and Sra. Rushmore, both from Spain, for the International Committee of the Red Cross earned the honor to top the 85 other metals given.

Thirteen Gold Lions were handed out, five of which went to the United States. One of the Gold Lions awarded went to Philippine agency TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno for ‘Disgusting Stories’ a campaign to raise awareness about child abuse for Bahay Tuluyan.

Of the 29 Silver Lions handed out, one went to GREYnJ United in Bangkok, Thailand for ‘Friendshit,’ on behalf of client Kasikornbank Public Company Limited.

Meanwhile, ‘World’s most honest tourism film’ by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board Bhopal in cooperation with Ogilvy Bangalore for the MP Tourism Development Corporation won a Silver Lion as well as a Bronze Lion.

AOI Pro Inc. together with SIX Inc. and Spa-Hakuhodo Co. rounded out the Asian winners with a Bronze Lion for ‘Obsession for smoothness’ for Double A, a paper company in Japan. A total of 43 Bronze Lions were issued.
