Cannes Lions pumps up the volume

GLOBAL – MAY 25, 2011 – The re-baptized Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has even more to sing about as the week of the festival draws near. Musicians Pharrell Williams, will.i.am, Patti Smith, Nick Jonas, and Interscope Records’ Head of Brand Partnerships Jennifer Frommer will be speaking in Cannes on branding and creativity in the music business. 
 
Pharrell Williams joins the debate on “Why Social and Mobile Rock the World”, which explores the role of music within the social-mobile planet; will.i.am joins McCann Worldgroup’s discussion on “Technology and its Transformation of Creativity”; Patti Smith talks about her music, creativity career in Grey Group’s “5th Grey Music Legends Seminar”; and Frommer talks about brands and their “mega fans”. 
 
They join a roster of featured guest speakers such as The Huffington Post’s Arianna Huffington, media mogul and star homemaker Martha Stewart, director and actor Robert Redford, Foursquare co-founder Dennis Crowley, The Social Network lead actor Jesse Eisenberg, and author Malcolm Gladwell.
