Travel: Jetstar’s God of Fortune is Set to Make Surprise Appearances Around Singapore for Chinese New Year, Urging Us Closer to Our Next Trip

SINGAPORE – This year marks a fresh cycle in the 12-year Chinese zodiac with the Year of the Rat. In Chinese culture, the rat represents those who are clever, quick-witted and successful, but here in Singapore what comes to mind almost immediately is the rat race many are stuck in. Singapore is often labelled a hard-working, stressed-out nation, and one study conducted in 2019 suggested that 92% of working Singaporeans are stressed – 8% higher than the global average 1,2.

With Chinese New Year just around the corner and work assignments, projects and jobs ramping up, many Singaporeans are at their most stressed. It is precisely for this reason that Jetstar has a special treat for its fans to help them plan their next relaxing trip away from it all. But first, they must find Jetstar’s illusive God of Fortune.

Three clues pertaining to his location will be released on the Jetstar Asia FB page the day before his appearance at each location, on 17, 19 and 21 Jan respectively. Fans will need to decipher these clues, head down to the right location, and bring him a pair of oranges.
