MANILA, AUGUST 16, 2013-Celebrating 10 years of inspiration through art and design, Ricco Renzo Art Gallery presented a collaborative art exhibit by the 10 Masters of the Philippine art scene in August 22.
The show, curated by esteemed art critic Cid Reyes, featured the works of indefatigable traveler and chronicler of Asian and European cities Manuel Baldemor, painter and sculptor Allan Cosio, master watercolorist Rafael Cusi, master portraitist Romulo Galicano, Raul Isidro, the first Filipino contemporary artist to consciously recognize and document our indigenous designs and symbols, "Amburayan" artist Prudencio Lamarroza, glass sculpture pioneer Ramon Orlina, Presidential Award of Merit recipient Juvenal Sanso, table-scapes master painter Phyllis Zaballero and National Artist Abdulmari Asia Imao.
"A master is someone who has superior visual and technical skills, and someone who has a t work," explains Reyes, on how they chose the 10 Masters. He added that, with their tremendous contribution in their craft, it is the public who gives them the great honor and called them "maestros".
The masterpieces will be available for viewing from August 22 until September 20, 2013.
Paulito and Offy Garcia founded Ricco Renzo, which means "rich and famous", in 2003 to express their love for the arts. After many, many servings of their famous Osso Buco and Risotto Milanese and other fan favorite dishes, Ricco Renzo bid farewell to its café and expanded its business to the exciting realm of architecture and interior design solutions.
