MANILA, MAY 1, 2013 – Yesterday, Acer Philippines and Intel concluded PlaySpace, their two-day gathering of “interesting people, sharing the lovely things they do”. The free event was held from April 29 to 30 at the SMX in Pasay City.
PlaySpace served as a venue for some of the most interesting local personalities to discuss what they do and reveal how they dovetail “play” with “work” – using “play” as a way to cool off and take a break, as well as spark creativity and drive innovation – with the aim of inspiring more people, especially the youth, to approach “work” in such a manner.
The roster of speakers included advertising, marketing, design and publishing veteran and Monday Magazine Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director Ric Gindap; writer and radio and TV host Gang Badoy; acclaimed photographer Gutsy Tuason; creative standouts Dan Matutina, and Marcus and Bru of Electrolychee fame; sorbetero Ian Carandang, owner of the premium local ice cream brand Sebastian’s; coffee purists Peter Ong and Raymond So of Craft Coffee Workshop; and Kamusta Magazine editor-in-chief Cristina ‘Ceej’ Tangtengco.
Both days were capped with live performances by popular bands – Bagetsafonik on the first day and Up Dharma Down on the second.
