Sun Life names Havas Media as agency of record for Asia Pacific markets

HONG KONG – Following a regional review that began last July involving eight network agencies, financial services company Sun Life has selected Havas Media as its Agency of Record for Hong Kong, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.

Led by the Havas Regional Hub in Hong Kong and supported by local Havas offices, together with partners Invictus Blue in Malaysia and First Page SEO, Havas Media will provide regional strategic leadership, coordination and reporting, together with full-funnel local advertising and SEO services for Sun Life.

Speaking about the appointment, Sun Life Chief Client Experience and Marketing Officer David Broom said, “With over 130 years’ experience helping clients to achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives in Asia, Sun Life has built a trusted brand in the region. As we continue to grow and as digitalization and media consumption trends rapidly evolve, we required a partner that could help us both now and into the future. We are very pleased to partner with Havas Media and look forward to working together.”

He further added, “Throughout the process, the Havas team demonstrated a deep understanding of our business, leveraging their strong capability in data and insights to articulate consumer needs and behaviour, providing us with a cohesive strategic proposal that will help take the Sun Life brand to new heights”.

“We are absolutely delighted to be appointed by Sun Life as their Agency of Record across Asia,” expressed Havas Media Hong Kong Managing Director Andrew Cawte.

“Since the review process began last July, we have come to understand better with each passing week, the integrity with which they operate and the community values in which they believe. Having such a long history in Asia, their credibility and customer understanding are unparalleled. We are really looking forward to helping them unlock their enormous potential, over the coming years,” he furthered.
