Pepperfry names Hussaine Kesury as Chief Activation Officer, slated to lead omnichannel efforts

MUMBAI, INDIA – Pepperfry, India’s leading furniture and home goods marketplace has announced the appointment of Hussaine Kesury as the Chief Activation Officer. In his new role, Hussaine will lead Pepperfry’s omnichannel efforts across Company-Owned Company-Operated (COCO) and Franchise-Owned Franchise-Operated (FOFO) Studio businesses. He will also lead the operations and expansion of Pepperfry’s retail footprint.

Previously, as the chief category officer at Pepperfry, Hussaine was responsible for scaling the D2C private labels and growing the marketplace. He brings more than two decades of experience having worked across sectors like marketing, sales, and product management in leading companies like eBay India, Tata AIG Life Insurance, and ICICI Bank, among others. He has been associated with Pepperfry since its inception and has played a pivotal role in building the company’s robust furniture portfolio.

Pioneers of the omnichannel business model, Pepperfry Studios is a “one-of-a-kind” experience center that acts as a key consumer touchpoint. They are strategically located on retail high streets in prominent neighborhoods across cities and have helped transform India’s retail landscape with a footprint of more than 200 studios in about 100 cities. Studios help customers co-create their dream homes where they can choose from a variety of colors, fabrics, and textures for their home goods requirements. They can also opt for specialized design advice from a team of interior design consultants at every studio.
