Dentsu sings the right tune for MTV EXIT

SINGAPORE – October 29, 2013 – Dentsu Singapore has announced the recent addition of MTV EXIT, a brand under the global MTV network, to its growing portfolio of regional clients.

MTV EXIT is a worldwide campaign that aims to contribute to a reduction in human trafficking and exploitation, Dentsu Singapore said in a press release.

Following a pitch in August 2013, Dentsu was selected to overhaul MTV EXIT’s digital assets. The agency is tasked with creating an engaging, interactive, and intuitive platform that is a one-stop source of information for the youth, spurring them to take action against human trafficking.

Matt Love, Director of MTV EXIT said, “Our goal is to provide an engaging platform for our online community to access our latest programs, music videos, blog articles and information about human trafficking. We look forward to joining forces with Dentsu Singapore to develop mtvexit.org into this platform.”

Launched in 2004, MTV EXIT has a special focus on Southeast Asia and aims to engage, educate, and empower young people with the information and tools they need to join the fight against human trafficking.

MTV EXIT produces on air programming, live events and youth engagement activities. It maintains a strong digital presence to promote positive behavioral change and drive social action.

Part of the Dentsu Network, the only agency network with an in-house media arm, as well as content division offering sports and entertainment marketing, Dentsu Singapore said it has the experience and resources needed to revive MTV EXIT’s website and create a vibrant and inspired online community.

Through the power of celebrity and music, MTV EXIT has held 38 awareness-raising concerts in 18 countries, reaching over 850,000 people on the ground with critical information about human trafficking.

Over 87 million people have watched MTV EXIT programs on television, and thousands more have attended over 200 community outreach events.

“Millions of people are victims of or are affected by human trafficking globally. The international community needs to take powerful action against traffickers and provide assistance to the victims and their families. Dentsu Singapore is proud to be associated with this cause and to be working with a brand like MTV EXIT, which has demonstrated its commitment towards ending human trafficking,” said Rosalynn Tay, CEO, Dentsu Singapore.

Established in 2000, Dentsu Singapore is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dentsu Network/Asia and is consistently ranked as one of the top ten agencies in Singapore.
