Globe launches breakthrough offerings including Google Chromecast

MANILA – Globe Telecom announced on Monday at the SMX Convention Center at SM Aura a series of breakthrough services that they have added in their roster of client offerings during the seventh Wonderful World of Globe: The New Connected Life.

Among all the brands that were showcased in Globe’s Digicity, we have chosen five of technologically groundbreaking applications that we do think would change the way people use their mobile gadgets.

Gadgets, clothes and fastfood being delivered right at doorstep is something that has all been part of our lives. But with this new app from Globe, our lives will become just a bit more convenient than it already is. Instead of going through the ordeal of roaming around the aisles of the supermarket, falling in long lines to the cashier and carrying heavy packages, you can now have your groceries delivered straight to your home.

Seats

This is also another service that will take away the hassle of wasting your time going through restaurant to restaurant only to find out that all the seats have already been taken. So, by using this app, you can book seats to the restaurant of your choice from wherever you are before braving the streets of Manila to get there.

Konsulta MD

We are all guilty of consulting with Dr. Google whenever a simple cold or headache hits us. Most of the time, the diagnosis is cancer. If you ask me, that’s quite scary so if immediate and accessible consultation is what we’re after, then it’s better to communicate with legit doctors instead. That’s what Globe is providing its clients with Konsulta MD, a 24/7 medical application that will allow users to talk to doctors and get first aid prescriptions for a minimal fee of P15.00 weekly.

Shopify

Online stores have been popping like mushrooms in the cyberspace. But most of them resort to simple platforms like Facebook and Instagram which doesn’t really give the necessary support to run a business. With Shopify, merchants will be given an end-to-end support service from the setting up of the e-commerce site to logistics and delivery of products which they can get all in five minutes and just P459.00 per month. Now, online stores can be more organized and systematic with the help from a reliable network.

Chromecast

The last but not the least is Chromecast–a fruit of the partnership between Globe and Google to bring their clients a high-tech, world-class service that will connect every gadget, be it mobile phone, tablet, laptop and TV into one. Chromecast is a small detachable device that can be plugged into your TV’s HDMI port so you could cast every content from your mobile gadgets straight to your TV so you can enjoy browsing photos or watching movies in a bigger screen through Chromecast-ready apps like HOOQ, Just Dance Now, NBA App, Youtube and more. These breakthrough offering also aims to unite the family by bringing back its multi-screen members into a single, fuller screen where each can share whichever content they prefer.

“We are excited to be working closely with Google to bring Chromecast to Filipinos who are huge fans of everything entertainment: from movies, TV shows, games, sports, to photos and videos. With Chromecast, our customers get instant access to quality entertainment experience at home as they get to see their favorite content and apps from the small screen to the big screen. Offering Chromecast supports our commitment to enable the Filipino digital lifestyle further as we provide our customers a platform to enjoy entertainment at the comfort of one’s home,” says Dan Horan, Senior Advisor for Consumer Business at Globe.

Google Chromecast will soon be available to the Philippine market for free starting at Globe Broadband Plan 1299, and Platinum Home Broadband Plan 3749 and Plan 9999.
