MRM McCann leads shortlists at 8th Boomerang Awards

MANILA – MRM McCann dominated the 8th Boomerang Awards’ shortlist, accounting for 13 of the 91 campaigns in the running for metal.

One of 22 agencies with shortlisted work, MRM McCann had campaigns for Ayala Land, Ceelin Plus, the Inter-Country Adoption Board, Jollibee Kitkat, Master Facial Wash, Nestle, Red Ribbon, and Coca-Cola, in contention.

Ogilvy was another top contender, claiming 11 shortlists with campaigns for Cream Silk, along with work for Tang by Ogilvy & Mather, and Clear Men Shampoo by OgilvyOne.  

DM9JaymeSyfu/Di9it also had 11 shortlisted work, with campaigns for Perfect Italiano, Anmum Materna, Anchor Adult Pro, and SMART CSR. 

Havoc Digital had eight entries on the shortlist, including campaigns for San Miguel, Smart Communications, and Watsons Philippines, while Publicis JimenezBasic’s work for Jollibee and Skinwhite earned them seven spots on the shortlist.

BBDO Guerrero and Lowe each had five pieces of work on the shortlist, with campaigns for Pantene, Unselfie, Department of Tourism and Pedigree by BBDO; and campaigns for Magnum Gold by Lowe along with Lowe Open’s work for Wendy’s and Axe Apollo. 

Other companies and agencies with shortlisted work include BPI Family Bank, Movent, ABS-CBN Corporation, Bank of the Philippine Islands, IdeasXMachina, Unilever, Leo Burnett Manila, Maxus Philippines, Mobext, NuWorks Interactive Labs, TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno, and Tribal Worldwide-DDB.

Winners will be awarded September 26 at Samsung Hall of SM Aura at the Boomerangs, part of a two-day annual summit of the Internet Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines.
