New Business: After Merging with OLX Philippines, Carousell Brings in Dentsu Jayme Syfu as a New Creative Partner

Early this year, online marketplace Carousell has acquired OLX Philippines. Before launching the merger, they tapped Dentsu Jayme Syfu after a three-way agency pitch to refresh the brand and establish it as the biggest buy and sell marketplace.

The winning campaign centered around “Tito Jokes” which shows a Tito trying hard to sell his jokes to his niece and nephew but to no avail. In parallel to this, the Tito quickly moves on to Carousell where it’s easy to sell with its advanced features. At the same time, avid buyers from Carousell now have a wider selection of products from fashion and gadgets to real estate and automobile.

Following this new partnership, Carousell and Dentsu Jayme Syfu released 4 videos of Tito jokes that would surely be benta (sell) both on digital and TV, and would convince people to move on from OLX to Carousell.
