Ogilvy is Creative Agency of the Year

The Creative Circle Awards or The Gong Show saw Singapore ad agency creatives dress for awards night at the glitzy Ritz Carlton Millenia Grand Ballroom last November 29.
Ogilvy Singapore, the Cannes Lions third most awarded agency in the world, expectedly lorded over the Singapore local creative awards and was named Creative Agency of the Year. The agency, headed by Creative Vice-Chairman Tham Khai Meng, also won the Best of Show for the FHM print campaign. The New Art Director award went to Adrian Chan of Ogilvy Singapore.
Publicis Singapore won the Innovation Gong for their Nike Stadium campaign for Nike Southeast Asia.
The top three most awarded agency at The Gongs are Ogilvy Singapore with 115 points; JWT Singapore, with 79, and Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide, with 66.
This year’s CCA Gongs jury chairman was Calvin Soh of Publicis Asia Pacific, vice-chairman, chief creative officer-Asia, The international jury members are Kitti Chaiyaporn of Publicis Thailand; Kevin Flatt of Tribal DDB Chicago; Paul Grubb, Lowe Worldwide Bangkok; Ted Royer, Droga5 New York, and Lawrence Thomson, Mother London. Singapore judges were Chris Chiu of head of the Advertising jury, Goh Wee Kim of McCann Singapore, Jay Phua of 10AM Communications, and Thomas Yang of JWT Singapore.
CCA challenges local industry professionals and helps Singapore grow its reputation as one of the world leaders in print advertising with top award winners in Cannes International Advertising Festival, Clio Awards, The One Show, D&AD and many others.
Organized by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore (4As), the awards encompasses all aspects of creative communications with awards given out in four major disciplines—Advertising, Design, DM & Promo and Interactive. The 4As also organize and promote the Students Creative Awards, commonly known as The Crowbars, and the Singapore Media Awards.
