SKYCable: GMA 7’s complaint ’is malicious and without basis’

MANILA – SKYCable has released a statement in response to GMA Network’s complaint filed with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) on Tuesday that some of its cable subscribers who are also viewers of the noontime show Eat Bulaga “are being short-changed through the irresponsible acts of their service provider.”

The accusations stemmed from the tweets and other social media posts by Eat Bulaga viewers and SkyCable subscribers who are complaining that they are experiencing signal loss before the Eat Bulaga time slot and/or during the airing of the show’s hit kalye-serye segment, “AlDub” featuring Kapuso actor Alden Richards, Maine Mendoza also known as ‘Yaya Dub’. Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola.

SkyCable, in a statement, has denied the accusations saying that “the complaint of GMA 7 with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) last August 25, 2015, regarding shortchanging of our SkyCable subscribers via irresponsible acts, is a malicious accusation and is without basis.

If there were service interruptions that inconvenienced some of our subscribers, these were isolated and would have affected other channels, not only GMA 7.”

SKY also said that it is willing to cooperate with NTC for any investigation they may wish to conduct with regard to the incidents.
