Soleful Feetures

Some go for color, some go for material. Some go for style.  Some have a chosen few, some have closets-full.  Shoe fetishists get fever in celsius; in Marikina, they simply sell shoes.

Last night the Alliance Francaise de Manille and the French Embassy in the Philippines opened Portraits de chaussures Histoires de pieds (Portraits of Shoes. Stories of Feet), a collection of footwear from antique to avant-garde, from practical to post-modern.  The shoes came in historical to hysterical proportions.  Boots and sandals for fashion, fantasy and fairy tale.

Not to be outdone, the Philppines’ own brand Le Donne had an array on a staircase.  Featuring nothing but red, the famous local brand went gore galore.  Kidlat Tahimik features with his art directed collection of clogs.
