YTAdsAwards2: Celebrating the Best of Digital Storytelling with Max’s Restaurant and Petch & Partners as Ad of the Year, and TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno, PETCH Worldwide, Leo Burnett Group Manila, MullenLowe PH, and GIGIL Getting Crystal Awards

MANILA, Philippines – The second season of YouTube Ads Awards has just concluded. The night celebrated the rich digital storytelling Philippine agencies has to offer, and out of the nearly 400 entries, a total of 42 works were awarded—six of which were deemed world-class by the panel of judges, thus earning them the Crystal Award.

Among them is TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno’s ‘Bench: Secret,’ winning two crystal awards under Effectiveness, and Retail and Restaurant categories; and a silver award under Long-form Storytelling.

PETCH Worldwide is also bringing home two crystal awards for Max’s Restaurant: ‘Every Kind of Family, Everyday To The Max‘ under Food and Beverage category and ‘Max’s: New Year is for Resolutions’ under Corporate Image and Public Sector category.

‘Every Kind of Family, Everyday To The Max’ also wins two silver award under Retail and Restaurants, and Corporate Image and Public Sector. While ‘Max’s: New York is for Resolutions’ gets three bronze awards under Retail and Restaurants, Storytelling for Occasions, and Food and Beverage categories.

Leo Burnett Group Manila’s ‘BDO: Kwentong Kabayan’ also brings home a crystal under Multi Video Storytelling; ‘BDO: Europe’ also gets a bronze under Financial and Institutional & Services category.

Another crystal goes to ‘Robitussin:Ubo‘ under 6-second storytelling category.

GIGIL’s Christmas Feature ‘Studs‘ for Levi’s Philippines, meanwhile, wins a crystal under Long form storytelling category.

Also bagging an award is MullenLowe’s #FreetoLove series for Closeup, earning a crystal award under effectiveness category and Bronze under Multi Video Storytelling category.

The crystal award is the highest honor the group gives out. Judging on brand relevance, unique-to-YouTube interactivity and craft storytelling, the crystal awardees are ads that the judges believe are world-class, can represent the country and can compete across the globe.

With this, the Ad of the Year was honored to the video advertisement with the most wins of the night and that is Max’s Restaurant with 7 wins for its Every Kind of Family and New Year is for Resolutions by Petch & Partners. The former received a total of 3 awards, while the latter was honored with 4.

Silver awardees are Diatabs: Bomba sa Tiyan under Health and Beverage category; Close Up: Angie & Joey under Beauty and Personal Care category; Vivo: Ed Caluag’s Paranormal Equipment under Tech, eCommerce, Telco category; McDo: You Tap, We Deliver under Retail & Restaurants category; and PLDT: First Connection under Corporate Image and Public Sector category.

Bronze awardees are Alaska: First Christmas under Food and Beverage category; Vicks: Learning to Love under Health and Nutrition category; Safeguard: ASMR and Master Facial Scrub: Panata under Beauty and Personal Care category; Cashalo: Esperitista under Financial and Institutional & Services category; Globe: Umuwi Ka Na Baby under Tech, eCommerce, Telco category; Robinsons: Pangarap Kong Robot under Retail & Restaurants category; Cornetto: Kuya under Best in 5-second intro category.

Globe: EasySurf Series also wins a bronze under effectiveness category. Other bronze winners include Globe: One Tap under Best in 5-second intro category; Oishi: Whiplash under 6-second storytelling category; PAL: Regalo under Travel, Transpo, Auto, Leisure category; Vicks: Learning to Love under Corporate Image and Public Sector category; Home Credit: Home Credit Mo Na under Multi-Video Storytelling category; SM Supermalls: Nanay under Best in 5-second intro; Red Horse: Patugtog Hindi Paputok under Storytelling for Occasions; San Miguel: Walang Iwanan under Multi Video Storytelling category and San Miguel: Ring under 6-second storytelling category. McDo: Kumusta Ka also gets two bronze awards under Long-form Storytelling and Effectiveness categories.
