Four shops vie for DoT media business

THE PHILIPPINES, AUGUST 10, 2012: The Department of Tourism has put its media account up for pitch but has again postponed the review as a result of extensive flooding in the city this week.
It is understood that five media agencies are in the pitch, which is now expected to take place next week.
It is understood that PHD, Mediaforce Vizeum, Dentsu, and local shop Club Media are pitching for the business.
As with most government agencies, the DoT has asked pitch participants to provide surety of either 2% of the total budget for cash deposits and 5% for bond payments.
There is no incumbent on the account.
The media review comes nearly a year after the DoT, under newly-installed Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez, awarded the creative assignment to BBDO Guerrero, which created ‘It’s More Fun in the Philippines’.
Launched early this year, the campaign quickly became an internet sensation  despite its limited traditional media launch.
