PH internet and mobile marketing association rebrands

THE PHILIPPINES, JUNE 22, 2012: Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) revealed its new identity called "Evolution".

The new identity, which replaces the 6-year old branding, shows the IMMAP word mark in white small letters against a "lo-fi" background of colourful pixels which is a clear departure from the organisation’s original identity using solid black, white, silver gradient and a big red dot on top of the letter "I" of IMMAP in all caps.

Pao Peña, chief digital officer of Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide Manila and IMMAP vice president explains this transition as: "Truly representing the character and direction of digital marketing which is dynamic, vibrant, flexible, always contemporary, adaptable and fast-evolving".

The lo-fi pixels in the background of the logo can be adapted to the context in which the IMMAP identity may be found. For example, the lo-fi pixels may be used to form a thought balloon on a stage where speakers share their ideas to the public.

Alongside the reveal of the organisation’s new identity, Peña unveiled several IMMAP-branded merchandising materials that have been heavily requested by its members through the years such as coffee mugs, hoodies, and shirts. These will be made available to the public through "online storefronts, the IMMAP Summit and IMMAP Expo," Peña reveals.

"The new logo breaks away from the usual association and corporate traditional, formal, and boring styling and goes a little funky," commented Carlo Ople, TV5’s senior manager for New Media.

IMMAP collaborated with Techforge, a digital solutions company, in developing the Evolution identity. Techforge was selected from a roster of digital and advertising agencies after a series of credentials presentations were held in March.
