Lowe Malaysia hires second Filipino creative Gelo Lico

ASIA-PACIFIC – KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, APRIL 10, 2012: Lowe Malaysia hires its second Filipino award-winning creative Gelo Lico as senior art director following former BBDO Guerrero executive creative director Brandie Tan’s move to the agency last February.
Lico joins Lowe Malysia from Ace Saatchi & Saatchi as art director where his work on the Vespa "Our Ride" campaign was included in the Gunn Report as the 15th most awarded campaign of 2010 after collecting Golds, Silvers and Bronzes at the D&AD, Spikes, Clios, Cannes and Best of Show at Adfest.  It was during his stay at Saatchi that he received the second most awarded art director in the Philippines title in Campaign Brief Asia’s Creative Rankings.
Prior to Ace Saatchi & Saatchi, he worked for JWT Manila where his work on Pfizer-Bonamin earned a metal at the London International Awards and was first recognized as one of the youngest Filipino creatives in the Creative Ranking.
Announcing the appointment, Tan said: “It’s our mission at LOWE to create integrated work for the brands we work on which connect and converse with our audience.  Gelo’s natural ability to think and craft work in this way makes him a valuable addition to our LOWE Malaysia team and the region."
