Spikes Asia: Deadline for Entries August 21

Attention creatives! You have until Friday this week for the chance to compete in Spikes Asia, the 1st Asian Advertising Festival!  Recognizing the best advertising talents in the East, Spikes Asia Awards makes a strong debut in 2009, accepting works released during the period of January 1, 2008 to August 1, 2009.

Spikes Asia has set its direction purely on Asian work, making Australia and New Zealand no longer eligible for entry.

The Jade Spike will be awarded for the first time in 2009 and entries for Integrated section will be considered for the top prize of the Jade Spike Grand Prix.  Additional Jade Spikes will be awarded to Integrated campaigns that are judged exceptional.

Six juries of leading international and regional creatives will judge Asia’s best work: David Droga-President of the TV/Cinema, Print, Outdoor & Radio and the Integrated juries, Rodney Fitch-President of the Design jury and Fred Koblinger-President of the Digital, Direct & Sales Promotion jury and Laura Desmond-CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group-President of the Media jury.  Piyush Pandey Executive Chairman and National Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather India & South Asia heads the Craft jury.

Spikes Asia promises the best investment for the advertising creative, including the chance to share the ideas of the industry’s most successful players and creating vast networking potential.  More than being inspired by Asian advertising mastery, delegates will have a chance to experience a different type of festival.  Can you get a Hawker Night Market in Cannes?
