Viddsee’s second edition of Storyteller Boot Camp provide insights on the future of storytelling

SINGAPORE — Viddsee creator platform will host the second edition of its virtual Storyteller Boot Camp from June 21 to 23. With support from Netflix, Blackmagic Design, and Aux Media as its partners, the three-day conference will feature in-depth sessions from regional and international speakers from Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, Audible, Dolby, Web3-backed Decentralized Pictures, Beach House Pictures and Daluyong Studios, along with XR and virtual production studio Aux Media, and Viddsee Network Storytellers.

With a strong commitment to supporting Asian stories and discovering new ideas and talent, the Viddsee Labs Pitch Programme will also be conducted for its second edition. It will be open exclusively to all attendees of Storyteller Boot Camp 2023, where five winning TV series or film concepts will be selected, each receiving prize money and the opportunity to further develop their ideas through Viddsee Labs.

With the support of Netflix, the program will introduce a brand new Youth Category to support and discover young, aspiring creators between the ages of 18 to 25. Creators from the Youth Category will be able to pitch their film and television series concepts and stand a chance to be among two of the five winning concepts. With Viddsee’s developmental support, developing stories from the winning concepts will be represented by Viddsee’s commercial team for potential sales, commissioning, and co-production opportunities in regional and international markets.

“For its second edition, Viddsee Storyteller Boot Camp will present more in-depth topics featuring global speakers. Topics explored reflect the future trends in the industry and skills that are important to help creators stay relevant. Being a creator in Asia has its challenges. Through the Viddsee Labs Pitch Programme, we want to provide more opportunities where creators can maximize their talent, skills, and knowledge to develop stories that hopefully will inspire future generations of storytellers,” said Kenny Tan, Vice President of Viddsee Studios.

Viddsee Network Storytellers, collaborators, and students may participate in Viddsee Storyteller Boot Camp 2023 for free. The Storyteller Boot Camp 2023 is also open to all other storytellers and industry professionals globally. Interested attendees may register and purchase tickets for $50.
