Walker, Azarcon to boost O&M creative leadership in 2013

MANILA, FEBRUARY 21, 2013 – Ogilvy and Mather Philippines further strengthens its management team as it welcomes seasoned creatives Richmond Walker and Ryan Azarcon to the fold on March 1, 2013.

Walker returns to Ogilvy & Mather, this time as O&M Philippines’ group executive creative director.  He will work closely with Peachy Pacquing, O&M head of country and with the Agency’s team of multi-awarded creative leads Mike Sicam, creative director for Ogilvy One; and Lito Gemora, Gerry Cacanindin, Alnair Langkay and Angie Tijam, creative directors for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, to build on the Ogilvy Twin Peaks of pervasive creativity and effectiveness.

"Richmond is no stranger to Ogilvy. He will give Ogilvy Manila the creative impetus it needs," Eugene Cheong, Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific regional creative director, said.

"Richmond comes to Ogilvy fully aligned with the group’s creative ambition.  We believe that as he leads the multi-disciplinary group, his creative maturity and sensitivity can inspire and bring out the best in our creative talent," added Ogilvy & Mather Philippines head of country Peachy Pacquing.

Walker comes to Ogilvy Philippines from BBDO Malaysia where he was executive creative director, credited with award-winning creative work for Mini (Adfest), two silver Effies (2010, Milo and Maxis-Hotlink), and three bronze Effies (2011, Fonterra, Harian Metro, Quaker) among others.

Set to lead RedWorks evolution into the Delivery Agency of the future is Azarcon who takes over from Arvin Sanchez as general manager.  With over 15 years’ experience in print production and graphic design, both in creative and operations, Azarcon comes to RedWorks Manila from a close to ten-year stint with Sushi Graphics’ sister graphic design studio Ignition where he was managing director and head of creatives.

Throughout his career, Azarcon has produced award-winning creative work. He has also managed the production of annual reports, logos and corporate identities, brochures, billboards, posters, print ads and websites for corporate clients such as SMC, Ayala Corporation, PLDT, CIBO, John Wiley & Sons, Landco, and Filinvest.

"Ryan brings to RedWorks his deep understanding, as well as hands-on involvement in the business of Creative Delivery.   His critical combination of skills and knowledge will propel RedWorks forward to support the Ogilvy Group’s aggressive three-year plan," Pacquing said.
