O&M partners with A+B Expedio for new joint venture

THE PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 3, 2012 – Ogilvy & Mather Philippines and A+B Expedio Integrated Marketing Communications, a leading below-the-line agency in the country with expertise in trade activation and events management, have established, OgilvyAction, a joint venture company in the Philippines.

The joint venture brings together A+B Expedio’s field marketing capabilities, local activation experience, and network with Ogilvy & Mather’s strength in analytics, strategy, development, digital, and creative to offer best-in-class activation solutions that truly delight consumers and shoppers, creating conditions that drive brand purchase.

“Joining forces with a global agency such as Ogilvy is the logical next step in our growth plan.  We have grown our business by creating brand experiences and powering consumer engagements for our clients through over 11 years, and formalizing our partnership with Ogilvy after all those years of working together promises a levelling up that can only benefit everyone,” said Oman Tanchingco, managing partner of A+B Expedio.

The joint venture company will be led by Mae Dichupa, appointed general manager, who returns to Ogilvy after seven years with the Nike organization in the Philippines, most recently as its Country Marketing Manager.

“Coming home to Ogilvy gives me the opportunity to leverage my insights and experience in this field to lead a team of retail specialists that is already best-in-class,” she said.

“We are seeing extensive growth potential for brand activation in the Philippines and A+B Expedio’s expertise, network, and reputation will certainly strengthen our local OgilvyAction offering.  We are delighted to welcome Mae back to Ogilvy to lead OgilvyAction in this dynamic growth market.” John Goodman, president of OgilvyAction Asia Pacific, said.

OgilvyAction will be based at the Ogilvy & Mather office at the Picadilly Star Building in Fort Bonifacio Global City, Metro Manila.
