CannesAlso 2013 presents: Curious Minds Create Brilliant Brands

GLOBAL – FRANCE, APRIL 30, 2013 – Collecting or collections do not come cheap. And more often than not, these collections start as a way to inspire the collector or as a form of therapy, a respite from the stresses of work. 

 
As CannesAlso returns this year, the exhibit aims to explore and showcase the interests of creative people outside their day jobs and, in general, the idea of collections and collecting. 
 
Launched in 2011 as a photography exhibition, CannesAlso is an outlet in the seven-day Festival of creativity where delegates can see what other people are doing aside from creating effective and creative work. Last year, the showcase celebrated creativity across a wide range of disciplines in ‘Play, Make, Master’.
 
However, the organizers are not suggesting that interested delegates ship their prized collections to the South of France. To join, simply email a picture of it (preferably in high resolution) and write in no more than 100 words what drives your interest. The organizers will find an appropriate way to display the collections to those attending this year’s Cannes Lions. Please also include your name and phone number so the organizers can contact you if necessary.
 
Entries should be sent to info@cannesalso.com and submitted no later than 17:00 GMT on May 17.
 
 
Note: It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
