AKQA explained that the site, Written in the Stars, is based on a simple truth that we all look at the same stars no matter where we are in the world. "What if, through the stars in the sky, we could help you feel a little more connected with loved ones near and far?" they said.
With a combination of several HTML 5 API’s, this mobile experience requires no download, according to AKQA. Yet, it showcases advanced features typically seen in native mobile applications.
To write your message with the stars, visit stars.akqa.com on any iOS device. When the recipient opens it she will be able to explore the sky to reveal the message – quite literally written in the stars in the sky – along with an original soundtrack composed by 3D from Massive Attack.
